How much extra does it cost if I get cupping or massage as part of an initial or follow-up treatment?

Nothing!  We understand no one likes walking into a an appointment not knowing how much it is going to cost them.  At Sydenham Chinese Medicine Clinic we are determined to give our patients the best service at an affordable price so we do not charge additional fees for these services when the acupuncturist does them as part of an acupuncture treatment.  The practitioner will decide what type of treatment you need for your complaint and with your approval will treat you accordingly.

Our acupuncture costs differ from our competition in that we also do not charge you in 10 minute blocks.  We have a set fee and set adequate amount of time that practitioners work within.  Ensuring you have the freedom to discuss your health complaints at length without having to worry about how much extra it is costing you.

Are there any additional fees?

Our practitioners will always talk to you in advance and ask for your approval if they are offering you something which is at an additional charge to your session,  These include products or treatments requiring the use of more expensive supplies.

  • Herbal products
  • Educational books
  • Dermal rollers

Health funds and HICAPS

Sydenham Chinese Medicine Clinic maintains the highest level of care and is registered with All the health funds allowing our patients to claim the health fund rebates.

Hicaps is available in all our clinics for instant rebates so you may simply swipe your health fund card and only pay the gap, saving you the time of having to claim the money back from your health insurer.

Health fund members can usually claim around half of this cost back, though it varies depending upon your health fund and level of cover
